The 2nd annual Battle at the Beach returns to South Florida with a weekend of intense interstate matchups. Four Florida-based schools will battle tournament-style on Friday, October 25th, and Saturday the 26th, at the Palm Beach Skate Zone in Palm Beach, FL.
The schools participating in the 2024 Battle at the Beach are Florida Atlantic University, the University of Central Florida, the University of Tampa, and Lynn University. Florida Atlantic, Central Florida, and Tampa played in the inaugural tournament in 2023.
The game times and matchups are as follows:

7:00 p.m. ET - Rink 1 - Florida Atlantic vs. Lynn
9:30 p.m. ET - Rink 1 - UCF vs. Tampa
Saturday, October 26, 2024
5:00 p.m. ET - Rink 1 - 3rd Place Game
7:30 p.m. ET - Rink 1 - Championship Game
Florida Atlantic won the 2023 Battle at the Beach and will look to repeat as champions this year. Owls’ Head Coach Christian Long said about the 2023 tournament: “We had an unbelievable experience last year, and it was the first tournament (championship) ever for FAU hockey. So it meant the world to us to get that under our belt.”
Long also made clear Florida Atlantic’s intentions for the 2024 Battle at the Beach: “We have the dates circled on our calendar to defend that title… we are determined to win back-to-back tournaments.”
