CHS Mobile App Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to the CHS mobile application (“App”), provided by SyncSports on the LeagueSync platform for the College Hockey South conference.
1. Information We Collect
We collect limited information needed to provide App functionality:
- Preferences you set in the App
- Favorite team selection
- Followed divisions
- Selected league and season
- Notification preferences (for example: game start and final score alerts)
- Notification and app-instance data
- Push notification token (if notifications are enabled)
- Notification permission status
- App installation ID (random app instance identifier)
- Basic app context needed to deliver selected alerts (for example association/conference/season and favorite team setting)
- Contact form submissions (optional)
- The name, email address, and message you enter in the App’s contact form
- The conference, season, device platform, and submission time associated with the message
- This information is collected only if you choose to submit the form
- Conference content data shown in the App
- Teams, schedules, standings, stats, and news loaded from conference data sources
2. Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect
- Account username/password credentials for end users
- Precise location data
- Contacts, calendar, camera, or microphone data
- Photos or videos read from your device library (the App can save a clip to your library but cannot access its contents; see Section 5)
- Advertising ID-based tracking across third-party apps/websites
- Analytics or usage tracking data
- Payment information (the App contains no ads and no in-app purchases)
- Sale of personal information
3. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Display conference content in the App
- Personalize the App experience (for example favorite team views)
- Send push notifications you choose to receive
- Respond to messages submitted through the contact form
- Maintain app reliability, security, and operations
4. Push Notifications
If you enable notifications, we store your push token and notification settings so we can send conference-related alerts you requested. You can disable notifications at any time in App settings or device settings.
5. Video Clips and Photo Library
The App can save game video clips to your device photo library or share them using your device’s standard share sheet. Saving requires your permission and is save-only: the App writes the clip you selected and cannot browse, read, or upload photos or videos already in your library.
6. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share information with service providers that help us operate the App, including:
- Google Firebase (cloud data services, notification subscription records, and contact form submissions)
- Expo (push notification delivery and over-the-air app updates)
- Cloudflare (delivery of video clips and images)
These providers process information to support App functionality.
7. Data Retention
- Local preferences remain on your device until you clear app data or uninstall.
- Notification subscription records are retained as needed to provide notification delivery and support operations.
- Contact form submissions are retained as needed to respond to your message and are then deleted.
- You may request deletion of notification-related records or contact form submissions by contacting us.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information. Data is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
9. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
10. Your Choices
- Update favorite team, followed divisions, and notification preferences in the App
- Disable notifications in device settings
- Contact us for privacy questions or deletion requests

Third-party providers may have separate privacy policies:

The App also links to the College Hockey South website and to video that opens in your browser or the YouTube app. These destinations are governed by their own privacy policies.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will revise the “Last updated” date when changes are posted.
